Javier Valencia

Asociate Professor UADY

 

Javier Valencia has a major in Industrial Logistics Engineering from Universidad Autónoma de Yucatán; a Master Degree in Logistics from Zaragoza Logistics Center (ZLC); a Master Degree in Mechanical Systems, and a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from University of Zaragoza. Dr. Valencia isa Lecturer at Universidad Autónoma de Yucatan (UADY). He has worked in industry for companies as FEMSA Logística, DHL Supply Chain e IDOM Consulting. As researcher, he participated as team member of the Laboratory of Automatic Identification of ZLC. Dr. Javier Valencia frequently publishes in top logistics journals and in globally recognized scientific conferences as the International Congress on Logistics and Supply Chain (CiLOG). At the same time, he has participated as speaker during the First Ibero-American Logistics Summit. Throughout his career, Professor Valencia has received honors such as the PILOT Award for Excellence in Logistics, whichis delivered by the Government of Aragon, Spain. His Ph.D. thesis was recently recognized as the most outstanding in Spain by the Spanish Center of Logistics (CEL). ). From a sustainable supply chain perspective, his research topics are design of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) for logistics purposes and the optimization of supply networks.
